The District Energy Project in Colombia -Phase II, ACAIRE and CIDARE, invite the academic and professional community in Latin America to participate in the second version of the Contest of papers on Energy Districts, within the framework of the DISTRICT ENERGY LATIN AMERICAN CONFERENCE 2023.
Phases of the Contest:
- Phase I: Submission of abstracts and evaluation by the scientific committee.
- Phase II: Submission of papers and evaluation by the scientific committee.
- Phase III: Presentation of articles in the framework of the Latin American Congress of Energy Districts.
*Registration to the competition is free of charge.
**Only articles written in Spanish will be accepted.
Topics:
Those interested should send their abstract and subsequent paper written in Spanish, focusing on one of the following topics:
- Design, installation, operation, and control of Energy Districts.
- Use of renewable or residual energy sources in Energy Districts.
- Thermal energy storage systems for Energy Districts.
- Use of natural or low environmental impact refrigerants in Energy Districts.
- Contribution of Energy Districts to sustainable cities (climate change, circular economy, energy efficiency, reduction of environmental impacts).
- Tools to identify areas of interest for the installation of Energy Districts (energy maps, inventory of renewable energy sources, among others).
- Experiences in the use of centralized cooling/heating networks for university campuses, the health sector, the hotel sector, and industrial parks.
- Financial mechanisms, tariff models, and business models applicable to Energy Districts.
